Fun Facts about Kay:

- Since graduation, she has lived in 10 different cities across 5 different states.

- The most daring thing she has ever done was getting her basic pilot’s license.

Licensed Occupational Therapist

Kay brings life experience to Pediaprogress after she spent a few years at home raising her two sons.  She has been an occupational therapist working with clients ages birth to geriatrics since 1996 when she graduated from Texas Woman’s University, with a bachelor of science degree in Occupational Therapy.  Kay has worked with clients across many settings including inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing, outpatient, and home health including the South Texas prison system. Most recently before joining our team at Pediaprogress, Kay worked in a private preschool for children with special needs in New Jersey, where she felt drawn to pediatrics. She enjoys interacting with children as they express curiosity and interest in a variety of activities that help them learn about the world. She understands the importance of flexibility from raising her own children.  Kay appreciates how children enjoy having fun in very different ways, and how engaging and motivating fun therapeutic activities can be for kids.  Kay currently works with children ages birth through 18 years.  Through her varied experiences, she brings a unique perspective and knowledge about family dynamics and nurturing support systems, which are vital for optimizing functional outcomes. ​​ Kay also enjoys many crafts including papermaking and crochet.
